Finding Clarity

10 September 2009

It's been a long time, relatively speaking.

I have had a lot of you in contact in various ways over the past few weeks curious about how I am and what is going on. Thank you all of your concern and encouragement.

To cut a very, very long story short, TBA is still on hold.

The deportation situation that looked resolved at one point is actually far from it. My future, in this respect, is now out of my hands for a while. I await the word of the relevant authorities.

The financial situation is improved slightly but not to a point anywhere near that which will allow me to commence with proceedings.

I am near the end of my first week at my second full-time job this month. Working full-time hours leaves chunks of time around the edges. After familiarising myself with my new job and the routine that comes with it, I plan to explore exactly how feasible it is to cram my former TBA schedule in around the edges. The fact that I say "cram" gives away my opinion that I don't believe it will leave me adequate time to do everything I need to do the meet my objectives but I will whole-heartedly do the full schebang for a set period of time. After doing this, I will have a much more informed opinion of the feasability of this strategy.

I would have absolutely loved for this journey to have been an uninterrupted one but life had a different plan. I now must reformulate my plans accordingly. I have no idea at this moment in time what that new plan will look like. I am still in the process of finding clarity. Whilst I do so, I don't know how regularly I will blog so if you plan to keep following I suggest you subscribe to the RSS feed so that it's easy to keep track of.

To be travelling so quickly towards such a big, bright bold dream that's coming near to touching distance and then to see it slipping far away and being left in the dark, cold silence as a result is not the way that I will go out and define myself. As broken as my spirit has been at times over the past few months, the messages that I take from a lot of the experiences I have been having recently are motivating ones. I know this will move forward eventually. Some aspects of it are already, just quietly and microscopically.

Slowly...very slowly, but surely, clarity is coming.

Arton, Do not worry about your deportation issue at all.........that is just a minor hiccup and soon you will be playing world Soccer! In fact I am smiling because LIFE is full of twists and turns, and without that unpredictable magic.....it would be so boring! You will get your dream soon and you will be a very Famous Star soon!

Lol!! JM while I have to admit your comments got me chuckling I think you fail to see how this type of thing will make Arton''s eventual success all the more sweeter. People don't climb Mount Everest, go to the moon and break world records because it's easy and everything flows like clockwork. They do it because of the challenge and the adventure and because they can take pride in overcoming adversity. I think Arton''s approach and attitude make this project inevitable, all this ''crap'' basically means is that it will take a little longer than expected, but that hardly makes it any less impressive. Arton (if you even read these comments) I have an idea (worthless or not) about how you may be able to make some money. You must have some learning in the footballing skills department, some ideas, tips about how ppl can improve their game, get on the road to becoming better players? Well surely there's a huge market of amateur players out there hungry for info? Aren't you an NLP trainer or master practitioner or whatever? Maybe you could do a seminar on sports excellence or a football skills seminar? Those NLP trainings are usually pretty pricey so one of those would probably set you up for a few months?

Arton - Seht Godin a Top-Marketeer calls this situation "the Dip" - which one can push through. Keep you head up - I expect you can find a way through. Or Germany has to face a pro-footballer who has made it in remarkable short time into the pro´s from Canada ;-) Good luck!

It is unfortunate, but such is life. You have to find ways around problems - we all have obstacles to overcome when trying to achieve something. I agree that the updates have not been very informative as to the football skills progress - perhaps a bit more attention to this could help with more followers and sponsors? But I hope you keep pushing Arton - all is certainly not lost. You have gained vital experience, fitness and skills up to this point. At the very least you should be able to maintain your fitness and skill levels whilst working. Have you thought about doing some football coaching so that you have a bit more time to play? Also if you get deported it doesn't necessarily end there does it? I know football is not as big in Canada as it is in England, but in some ways that can give you more opportunities. You may be able to walk into some fairly big teams there and gain experience. They might love having an English mans' presence and different perspective. Hell you might even make the national team in a few years!! The thing is - don't give up. That is when the battle is lost, not when obstacles get in your way.

Finally, you got a job! This is great! Hope you're not working for some awful organization, but my guess is that you have to decide that for yourself. Bravo, Arton. You've been like life, unpredictable, bound by circumstances beyond its control. Which is kinda why I'm expecting you to come to your modeling project quickly, when I and others don't expect it, I know, but Im prepared.

Who is this "everyone" youre on about? This experiment was started on the idea of 1 man and 1 man alone, Arton Baleci! The deportation case is an unfortunate thing that no one could have forseen and is a failing in the way this country is run. As for the rest of your comment, its small minded people like you who have caused this project to slow down. Arton has tried to fund the project himself. Clearly training the ammount he has been he cant find time for work so he was relying on sponsorship and was let down. People are all talk and no action in this country unfortunately...have you done anything to help the project along? Made suggestions to help with things, ideas of how he could get funding?!?! Bravo

this entire experiment has turned out to be the biggest possible disappointment. No updates about how good the subject is getting at football, indeed football is barely even mentioned. Every article mentions loads of people nobody could care less about. Just stick to talking about the experiment itself. And the subject chosen for the experiment turns out to be a possible deportation case. Out of everyone it is possible to pick for the experiment, you choose the guy who will have training disrupted and possibly thrown out of the country. Bravo everyone, bravo. A lesson in utter incompetence.
