Northumbria University Division of Sports Sciences
The Division of Sport Sciences at Northumbria University (is one of the original providers of Sports Studies degrees in the UK. With over 27 years experience and the support of high quality teaching, research and consultancy the Division provides programmes in sport sciences, sports development and coaching, and sport management both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Past graduates include successful medal winning athletes such as Steve Cram, Jamie Noon, Chris Cook and gold Olympic medal winner Victoria Pendleton. The Division has a vibrant research and enterprise community and engages with sports organisations regionally, nationally and internationally. Further strengthening the Sport Sciences provision is the development of a £26 million pound sports facility (due for completion in 2010), with state-of-the-art sport science and coaching laboratories that will become a focus for excellence in sport research over the coming years.
The Division of Sports Science's ability to provide precise empical feedback and scientifically founded opinions on my progress throughout the year make them huge credit to the team.
